He always uses larger words whenever he talks. I swear it’s like this man walks around with a thesaurus. Or at least- that’s how we’ve built it up in our minds to be. A hat holding a mystery equivalent to some of the biggest in One Piece. While on the exact opposite end of the spectrum- you have Edd- or “Double D” to avoid confusion. Heck they even once made his skull into butter toast(one of his favorite meals) just for a gag. Although they’re only together because of their shared names- they have enough in common to stick together through all of the bad times they have.Įd is a the tallest and strongest of the 3- but also the………”least intelligent.” Wait, the h#ll am I saying? He’s a MORON! One of the running jokes in the show is that he lacks a brain- often being replaced with a piece of trash or something. The show portrays this idea in a good way- giving each of the Eds a radically different personality from the others, but also giving them a sense of comradery that goes deeper than most familial bonds- at least when it came to the finale of the show. A situation that I have found myself in twice. The show was created by Danny Antonucci for Cartoon Network- based on the idea of kids who are friends because they have the same name. The title says it all: This show follows the misadventures of the lovable oaf Ed, the ingenious-yet-scrawny Edd-or “Double D” to differentiate him from the other Ed, and the streetwise, loud mouthed Eddy.
But ya know what? I’ve been watching this show a lot more recently, so I thought “Hey, why not this instead? More people know about it.” So here we are to talk about one of Cartoon Networks Legendary animated series: “Ed Edd N Eddy!” You know this was originally gonna be a post about the obscure show Xiaolin Showdown.
